NEUROFEEDBACK TRAINING

Neurofeedback Training has been around for 15 years but very few clinicians have been aware and using it in the Denver area.  Since the time of Freud, we have been attempting to influence the brain’s activity indirectly by changing thoughts and behaviors.  Neurofeedback Training can now directly affect the brain through the use of computer exercises permitting feedback when the brain hits a target area.  Simply put the brain operates either too quickly (ADD, ADHD, BiPolar) or too slowly (Depression, Dementia).  Neurofeedback teaches the brain to slow down or become more activated alleviating symptoms.

Procedure:  First a clinical evaluation is required and if appropriate a brain test (QEEG) is performed.  If indicated the doctor prescribes a certain number of Neurofeedback sessions.  Cost of this treatment is $500 for the QEEG and $100.00 per session.
